Georgios Ellinas < Back to ECE

 

Holds a B.S. (summa cum laude), M.S., M.Phil, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Columbia University. He is working in the area of communications with focus on optical networks. His research interests include design of optical architectures, routing and wavelength assignment algorithms (point-to-point and multicast), fault protection/restoration techniques in arbitrary mesh optical networks, security in optical networks, traffic grooming, optical access networks (EPONs, WDM-PONs), and hybrid optical-wireless access networks. He is a member of the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus and a founding member of KIOS.
