Markos Markou< Back to ASSOCIATES

 

Received the B.S. degree with distinction in business computing from P.A. College in 1998. He then joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, in 1998 and received the M.Sc. degree working in the research area of scene analysis and machine learning in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in the area of novelty detection applied to video of natural scenes in collaboration with the Defense Evaluation Research Agency (DERA, now QinetiQ) in the United Kingdom. He is currently employed as a special scientist at the University of Cyprus on “Electric Load Forecasting Using Neural Networks,” a project funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation in collaboration with the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA). His main areas of research interest include load forecasting, video analysis, computer vision, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence.
